I am passionate about turning plain information into clear, engaging, and meaningful stories.

My work sits at the intersection of research, visual communication, and writing, where I transform complex ideas and information into work that is easier to understand, remember, and use.

My interest in research began with my training to become a lawyer more than 10 years ago. That experience taught me to formulate original arguments, anticipate and develop rebuttals, evaluate information critically, and organize complex ideas into coherent, persuasive structures. Those skills continue to shape how I research and analyze today.

I have also always been drawn to diagrams and visual structures. I discovered that where there is a significant volumes of information or complex ideas to explain, data is easier to outline and understand with diagrammatic forms, rather than through writing alone. Arranging information visually can reveal and patterns and relationships, and simplify complex subjects. Over time, this instinct became an integral part of my analytical approach. By combining illustration techniques with research and writing, I found that visualizing dense information in different ways was a powerful way to convey information in an engaging way—whether as an infographic or some other visual model.

Anecdotally, I studied Art at school, but I was not particularly good at it and, as a result, I never developed any interest in the subject. Ironically, during my college years, I discovered that I really enjoyed creating graphics in CorelDRAW. Looking back, that experience was early indication of interest I would pursue in later years.

In 2008, I finished my training as a lawyer. Around 2012, my interest in Adobe products was the catalyst that led me to explore combining legal reasoning, professional page layout, and illustration. I bring the methodical thinking of legal training to visual communication—combining research, structured analysis, writing, and illustration to make complex ideas clear, compelling, and visually engaging.

I believe good research should inform, excellent writing should connect, and eye-catching visuals should make ideas memorable.
